Few users will find fault with the easy-to-master approach WiseCleaner's Wise Video Converter takes to converting all kinds of videos to play on all kinds of devices (like your phone) since streamlined really is better, not to mention quicker. Wise Video Converter couldn't be easier to set up or use; It's elementary and free to try, though the trial version only converts videos up to 30 minutes in length and displays the odd nag screen. Video Converter comes with a few extras like the ability to add watermarks and a fully portable version that lets you take the program with you. The latest release of Wise Video Converter will run on Windows XP all the way to 8. While installing Wise Video Converter, the program provides visual cues with unquestionable direction toward educating us on how to use it. It insists on holding your hands through the process from beginning to end, but thankfully without trying to bog you down with too much hassle or fuss. WiseCleaner's concentration on useability is also apparent in the interface, which prompted us to drag and drop files directly into images of each type of device: mobile phone, tablet, or PC. Wise Video Converter automatically queued up our added files and displayed each with a preview thumbnail. All we had to do was click the Settings icon to specify our Audio, Video, and Output options for each file (or batch) and then press "Convert." Wise Video Converter then processed each task with an expected speed of conversion to MP4 and MKV videos. Converted videos played normally and looked great on our PCs and tablets, though with smartphones becoming more and more powerful, we found the default phone videos to be underwhelming. If your phone was purchased in 2011 or later, chances are it should support the tablet-level conversions just as well. The 30-minute limit that applies to the free version is well within most users' day-to-day needs, while the registered version can handle full movies. Either way, Wise Video Converter makes it easy, and we recommend this app for anyone who wants to convert and watch their videos on multiple devices.
