After launching Paint Shop Photo Album, you can import photos from a camera or select a folder where your images are located. The software offers image-editing features such as rotate, crop, red-eye removal, and captions. When you click a photo, the program automatically opens it in a large edit window, leaving a smaller photo-browser pane open on the left. The program's Info section lets you display and change details such as size, resolution, title, and a description of each photo. You also can sort images by location, subject, and name of photographer. Apart from its image-editing functions, the software also can help you send photos through e-mail, automatically generate a configurable slide show, burn a VideoCD, and even make a collage of several images. The only weak point was installing, which took too long; we also experienced a crash during the process. With all its features and fast processing times, Paint Shop Photo Album makes a good choice for all digital-camera enthusiasts.
