TreePad X Enterprise 12 Gb Single-user combines both word processing and database functions to make it easy to organize--and reorganize--all sorts of written information.The program's interface is cluttered at first glance, with three rows of buttons across the top. We weren't quite sure how to get started, but a visit to the program's online Quick Start Guide clued us in, and the program quickly started to make sense once we started working with it. A tree hierarchy on the left allows users to add new nodes, which can be nested within one another, and adding content is simply a matter of typing or pasting it into the article area of each node. Working within this space is very similar to using a word-processing program, and many of the buttons that clutter the top of the interface are in fact familiar tools for selecting fonts and formatting text.Reorganizing information within the database is as simple as dragging and dropping nodes in the desired location. We especially liked the fact that users can attach files to each article, making it easy to organize source material or keep track of relevant images. In addition to the Quick Start Guide, the program has a pretty comprehensive online Help file. Overall, we liked TreePad quite a bit; it's not fancy, but it has the potential to be a very powerful organizational tool.TreePad X Enterprise 12 Gb Single-user installs and uninstalls without issues.
